Spend the day exploring Central Park, the green oasis in the heart of Manhattan. Start at the iconic Plaza Hotel, where you can marvel at its grandeur before entering the park. Wander through picturesque paths, visit landmarks like Bethesda Terrace (to my fellow Gossip Girl fans this is where Chuck and Blair got married) and rent a bike for a leisurely ride around the park. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation and sightseeing.
Spend your afternoon in SoHo, known for its cobblestone streets and trendy vibes. Don’t miss out on Champion Pizza, known for its deliciously thin crust and fresh toppings. You won’t find a better slice—it’s a local favorite that consistently garners rave reviews. Additionally you will reconize a few famous faces on the wall, you might even see some famous faces around SoHo!functionality and provide more options to their clients.
Day 3: Lower Manhattan
Your third day takes you to the southern tip of Manhattan to visit the 9/11 Museum. This poignant site includes over 12,000 photographs and thousands of artifacts that tell the story of that tragic day, allowing for deep reflection on bravery and resilience in the face of adversity. Additionally, after exploring the museum, make your way over to the One World Trade Center where you can visit the 110th floor! The elevator ride up is the most entertaining elevator ride you will ever experience, and that view from the top – BREATHTAKING!
Afterward, take a stroll through Washington Square Park. This lively spot is perfect for people-watching or enjoying a moment of peace by the iconic fountain. If you’re a fan of vintage finds, swing by Beacon’s Closet, just a quick walk away. You’re likely to discover unique clothing and accessories that tell a story.
Day 4: Rockefeller and MoMA
Day four leads you to Rockefeller Center. Here, you can get free tickets to watch “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” It’s an exciting glimpse into late-night television, plus you might get to see your favorite celebrities live! Be sure to reserve your tickets well in advance, as they tend to sell out quickly. If you are looking for overflow tickets for the day of the show make sure you line up outside the Rockefeller gift shop around 7am to ensure that you are one of the first in line when they open for registration at 10am.
While waiting for the show, take a walk over to MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art, located just a few blocks away. Immerse yourself in a world of creativity, where iconic works by artists like Van Gogh, Warhol, and Picasso await.
Day 5: Statue of Liberty and the Staten Island Ferry
On your fifth day, hop on a tour bus to the ferry terminal, making your way to Liberty Island. The ferry ride offers stunning views of the NYC skyline, making it an experience in itself. Once you reach the island, you’ll be able to see the iconic Statue of Liberty up close—the symbol of freedom for millions.
Don’t forget to take the short ferry ride to Staten Island afterward. Enjoy picturesque views of Manhattan and the harbor. Best of all, it’s free! This scenic route is a perfect way to unwind after a busy day. Additionally, you can take a leisurely walk along the High Line, a park created on a former elevated railway. This beautiful promenade stretches about 1.5 miles and features stunning views, unique art installations, and beautiful gardens.
